We have recently started up a small press, which we aim to use as a platform for interesting illustrators to use to get out there in the big bad world.
We'll keep you posted, as we're soon to have a website, but that's all futures.
James at Cure Studio has had a great idea– a digital comic consequences called Big Antidote (no idea why it's called that...) but I was the seventh in line to do the story, and here it is.
'Ere, seeing as I haven't uploaded anything for a while, I missed some stuff I was doing over Christmas, so here's a late post and an up to date post in one little ball...
I did a poster and flyers for Stour Space's Christmas Market, both screen-printed, which was well good, with mulled wine, sales galore of our wrapping paper, and a trapeze show, with two little elves. Fun.
And here is a poster I did for another event coming up at the very same place...
Over Presentmas we at the Frinton Press created some wrapping paper covered in some tippy top drawings from illustrators old and new, and sold them in packs at an exhibition we had at NO:ID gallery, at some Christmas markets, and at the Print Club Pop-up Shop. All 40 of the edition contained 16 hand printed A2 sheets of paper (that's a lot of printing to do). They went down really well. Look out for more participatory projects from the Frinton Press. We'll be up for new talent joining our ranks.
